Kerri Strug

One of the most inspiring moments in my childhood. Kerri Strug on the Olymipic Vault in 1996. Her teammates had all done poorly before her, and the gold was slipping through their fingertips and likely going to Russia. After badly injuring her ankle during her first vault, Kerri Strug went for Vault #2. AMAZINGLY she stuck the landing and completed one of the most beautiful vaults ever! OMG. Totally inspirational. I remember I was in Nicaragua watching it with my mom and we were jumping up and down screaming because it was such an incredible moment.
