EL ORIGEN DEL CONGRI !!!

The congrí comes from Afro-Cuban cuisine and his name is in line with that origin. So congrí is a word that comes from Haiti, where red beans are called congó and rice (riz), in French. The famous Cuban ethnologist Fernando Ortiz, said: "Congrí is Hatian Creole voice which means 'with rice Congos'" That is, red beans with rice and chips pours pork and crackling, a dish in eastern Cuba took over the native cuisine , after the great French Haitian migration to the area.
