Fleetwod Mac’s Christine McVie and Lindsay Buckingham still share the same magical songwriting chemistry they have always shared, and that is proven obvious on their latest duo hit, “Feel About You” which is also the first hit that was released off their anticipated debut album together as a duo. The album, Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie will be on sale starting June 9th.
“Feel About You” is a pop-influenced rock ‘n roll rollercoaster resemblant deeply of McVie’s past work, furthermost of her work with Fleetwood Mac in the 1980’s. After the reunion of Fleetwood Mac’s classic Rumours album, Buckingham and McVie got together and decided to release an album together. During the Seventies and the Eighties, the two would forever be remembered by their beautiful harmonic duets on hits like “I Don’t Want to Know” and “Hold Me.” they also wrote many tracks with each other on 1987’s Tango in the Night.
“We’ve always written well together, Lindsey and I, and this has just spiraled into something really amazing that we’ve done between us,” McVie said proudly in an interview with Rolling Stone. The album will also feature memorable Fleetwood Mac members such as John McVie on bass and Mick Fleetwood on percussion.
Buckingham cut in to the conversation to add, “We were exploring a creative process, and the identity of the project took on a life organically. The body of work felt like it was meant to be a duet album. We acknowledged that to each other on many occasions, and said to ourselves, ‘What took us so long?!!'”
The duo plans to commence a tour for Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie. The tour will run through June and July, pausing to temporarily revive the original lineup with, surprise- STEVIE NICKS fin July when they will appear at appearance at the Classic East and Classic West festivals in L.A. and N.Y.C.
